Many thanks for taking a look around our shop!

Irene Gough Illustration, is run by myself and my husband (and occasionally the kids). I studied Graphic Design in NCAD in Dublin, Ireland and have worked as a graphic designer for over 20 years (yikes). Throughout the years I have always created illustrations for family and friends and with much encouragement and a great deal of support I've finally decided to start selling my prints.

All my illustrations begin life as rough sketches, I then refine (and refine again...) in Adobe illustrator and Photoshop and finally I add colour.

My inspiration comes in many forms but largely from my own childhood memories of wonderful stories and poems that were read to me and that I have since read to my children. My six year old is always ready to tell me what I should be creating next, If I could keep up with her imagination my shop would be overflowing with work!
